My Method
Acupuncture is one of the oldest continually practiced medical systems in the world. A treatment with me involves the gentle insertion of hair-thin pins at specific points on the body to support your natural healing processes.
I am trained in both traditional Chinese acupuncture and orthopedic or trigger point acupuncture. While they come from different frameworks, I often combine these approaches to bring depth and flexibility to your treatment, depending on what your body needs.
Other techniques I may include during a session, depending on your condition and comfort, include cupping, heat therapy, and topical CBD salve. I may also recommend herbal supplements or small lifestyle adjustments to support your progress between treatments.
At your first appointment, we will start with a conversation about your health history, current concerns, and goals. I will ask questions, listen closely, and develop a treatment tailored to you. From there, you will receive your first acupuncture session.
Most people don’t feel anything when the pin goes in. Occasionally there may be a slight pinch or sting that typically fades as quickly as it comes. Once all the pins are in place, most people settle into a deep state of relaxation or even fall asleep.
My style is gentle and I consistently check in to make sure you are feeling comfortable and at ease throughout the session.
